Jared Welch
Jared Welch is Co-Owner of Panther City Pipe Organs and is responsible for the company’s service operations, restoration projects, and technical development. Combining 25 years of experience in church music with hands-on expertise in pipe organ service, Jared is dedicated to helping churches preserve and enhance one of their most valuable musical and spiritual assets.
A graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, Jared brings both a musician’s perspective and a craftsman’s attention to detail to every project. His work includes tuning, maintenance, troubleshooting, restoration, console and control-system upgrades, and new organ construction. He is committed to providing practical, long-term solutions that improve reliability while honoring the unique character of each instrument.
Jared founded Panther City Pipe Organs with the vision of building a company known for exceptional craftsmanship, responsive service, and lasting relationships with churches throughout Texas and the surrounding region. Having served churches as both a musician and technician, he understands the vital role a dependable pipe organ plays in worship and is committed to ensuring every instrument entrusted to Panther City Pipe Organs continues to inspire congregations for generations to come.
John Sauvey
John Sauvey is Co-Owner of Panther City Pipe Organs and is responsible for design consultation, tonal development, and hands-on work building and tuning the organs. With extensive experience in church music, performance, and pipe organ service, he brings a musician’s perspective and a deep understanding of how each instrument supports worship.
John holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Baylor University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Texas. He has more than 30 years of experience in church music ministry, including 18 years as Director of Music for Ridglea Presbyterian Church and 25 years for Beth-El Congregation. He has also been a member of AGO, TMEA, TCDA, and Guild of Temple Musicians.
John works closely with churches, organists, and builders to ensure each instrument is musically expressive, reliable, and tailored to its worship setting. His combined background in performance, church leadership, and organ service helps guide Panther City Pipe Organs in delivering instruments that inspire congregations for generations.
Lancelot
Every team needs a shop inspector. Meet Lancelot, aka Brother, our shop poodle. Lancelot keeps a watchful eye on daily shop operations, welcomes visitors, and ensures every project receives his seal of approval. While his expertise lies primarily in boosting morale and accepting treats, he’s an important part of the Panther City Pipe Organs family.
